We are an approved training practice for GP Registrars.
GP registrars are fully qualified and registered doctors. They have completed their medical degrees and also at least 4 years of hospital and community based training following qualification. This may have included training in specialities such as paediatrics, geriatrics, psychiatry, dermatology, obstetrics and gynaecology as well as general medicine and surgery.
All doctors must undergo further training under the supervision of a senior GP or GP trainer before they can become fully qualified GPs in their own right.
Our GP Registrars can see you for any of your health complaints.
We are also an approved training practice for GPST2 doctors.
Again, these are fully qualified and registered doctors. They have completed their medical degrees and also at least 3 years of hospital and community based training following qualification. This may have included training in specialities such as paediatrics, geriatrics, psychiatry, dermatology, obstetrics and gynaecology as well as general medicine and surgery.
These doctors often have more time during their consultations and your case will often be discussed with a more senior member of the team.
Our GPST2s can see you for any of your health complaints.
We are also an approved training practice for 3rd, 4th & 5th year student doctors. With your permission, these doctors in training will take a history of your presenting complaint and examine you. They will then discuss your case with a member of the clinical team who will also review you. We are very grateful for your assistance in the training of these future doctors.
