Home Visits

We always encourage our patients to come to the surgery to see the doctor or nurse. Home visits are very time consuming and we can often see multiple patients at the surgery in the time it takes to see one at home. Seeing you at the surgery also ensures we have the proper equipment and facilities to assess you. We do however appreciate this is not always possible.

When a home visit is required, please try to give notice before 9.30am on the same day the visit is required. When you request a visit you will be asked for full details of the patient’s name, address, age and telephone number and the reason for the visit. If you are calling from a nursing home baseline observations will also be required. Your visit may be triaged by one of the clinical team and telephone contact made, therefore please ensure accurate information is provided and your phone is switched on.

Home visits are usually after 12:30pm. If you require a home visit before this time please inform reception.
